Kaella-Marie Earle, an Anishinaabe engineer and governance leader, is dedicated to advancing Indigenous rights and reshaping Canada’s energy systems. She is a national expert in implementing UNDRIP in energy regulation and leads groundbreaking initiatives that bridge ancestral knowledge with modern innovation.

Today, Kaella-Marie’s work uplifts communities, protects the land, and inspires a new generation of leaders across Canada and beyond.

A word from the Founder

A tribute to the women who inspired the IWTY legacy.

The Inspiring Women of the Year Award was founded by Aubin Gonzalez Lapos, alongside friends and partners, in a heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary women in his life.

Aubin established this initiative in memory of his mother, who dedicated her life to the Planning Familial in Brussels, advocating for family planning and women's rights, and his grandmother, a courageous figure in the WWIl resistance.

Their legacy of resilience, leadership, and unwavering dedication to justice is at the heart of the Inspiring Women initiative.
